Sprinklers! Water the lawn and cool off the kids in one swoop! ;)
ReplyDeleteAt this point both the kids and the lawn would definitely approve! Darn this heat!
Delete:> well I have no idea my little one is to small and monster madness all the time :)
ReplyDeleteWe've been hitting the parks and storytime at Barnes and Noble.
ReplyDeleteFishing at Yanney Park and/or swimming at Harmon Park. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! The Kearney parks are so great! <3
DeleteI seem to be having problems with leaving a comment! The school gets to entertain my kids this summer. But I second any suggestions for water play time. Also the library, the park in the morning, the mall playground and art projects.
ReplyDeleteI also recommend water play! A bucket of water, a couple sponges, and some dirty yard toys will keep my kids entertained for a long time :) On hot days nothing beats a sprinkler in the yard or a trip to the neighborhood water park.
ReplyDeleteHmm. I did leave a comment so if it posts twice I am so sorry!!! Since we live in Texas we have seen some hot numbers already. I have an almost 2 year old so she was bouncing off the walls. My husband and I brought in her slide from in the garage and put it in the living room. We then got her ball pit and made it where she would slide into the ball pit. She loves it. All her toys go sliding down it too. I also keep her entertained by coloring and flash cards! Nothing beats outside thou!
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm trying to keep everyone entertained inside the house we do fun "baths" in my bathtub. The kids love getting to go in mom's big bathtub and we pull out the fun stuff to paint or color with!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge advocate of hoses and sprinklers. Also, we try to let them bathe whenever they want, and sidewalk chalk and ice cream or popsicles at night.
ReplyDeleteWe love sidewalk chalk! Cheap and hours of fun!
DeleteI have a one year old so our best forms of entertainment are: sand/water table, playground, and lots of walks! :). -Valerie
ReplyDeleteTaking them to the pool or the lake, packing food, water and making it a full day! ~Kelly
ReplyDeletePut the slip and slide at the end of the playset slide, get both wet, and let them go!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!!
DeletePlay outside in the morning and inside during the hot afternoons....sometimes in the blow up bounce house, that we set up in our basement. Its a great way to get them to burn some energy!
